Been a crazy week getting everything ready for our upcoming trip. We've been so busy we haven't had much time to get things ready, so things really compressed this past week with lots of shopping and packing. Thank goodness for Amazon prime which really saved my bacon with 10 orders in the past 10 days.

| Gracie trying out her new snorkel. |

| Gotta love the Pelican boxes. They are awesome for travel and the beach. |
Due to the remoteness of St. John, food selection and quality is pretty poor and very expensive. Since our first trip, we've always tried to bring most everything we can. We like to BBQ at the house half the nights since there are only a few restaurants. We also eat breakfast at the house and pack a lunch for the beach. This saves a lot of $$$ over eating out all the time.
I figure that with all of the money we're saving by bringing our own food, we might as eat well. :)
Everything must get re-packaged to fit in the small space we have and prepared for the long trip without spoiling. I also pre-marinate all the meats prior to freezing. Lu-lu loves to help. Especially with the steak!
