Christmas Eve began with cookie making for Santa Claus.
After the cookies were made, it was time for dinner. I had decided to attempt a recipe (or two) that I had watched on a food network show. The menu was Steak with a gruyere cheese topping, homemade onion rings, baked potatoes and sparkling cider. The kids were in charge of seperating the onions. They quickly learned that onions = tears = sore eyes. But they were troopers and completed their assigned task. The dinner was delicious!!!! We loved it and were very proud of ourselves for a successful Christmas Eve meal.
